This ad has two pictures of men with their cars, the top picture shows a man with an older car and the bottom picture shows a man with a new car. In the top picture the text says that "'You should have seen this 1911 Hudson when I found it in a farmer's barn' writes Gordon S. Deye of Toledo, Ohio. 'It took a year and a half of my spare time to restore it - so you can imagine how extra-careful I am with it now. Naturally, I'm using Gulfpride H.D.". In the lower picture, the text begins with "'My job demands a car that won't let me down - and I've found that the lowest-priced 'engine insurance' is the best motor oil on the market,' writes Frank J. There is a picture of a lady dressed up as though she was ready to do a parachute jump and she is walking past the front of a Green Ford T-Bird Landau while another man in a similar outfit checks his straps while standing by the back of this same car. The headline says that "Even though 345 horses makes you feel like flying, you don't need to feed them the most expensive motor oil. Just the best" with a can of this oil next to the last three words. The text talks about the improvements and efforts that Gulf has put into this oil which tests show equal or exceed the four leading competitive premium motor oils while costing as much as 25 cents per quart less. |

The headline warns us that "Anyone who puts his foot into anything over 289 cubes better have more than mouse milk in his crankcase". Next to a can of this product it assures that "This new oil is a lot more". The text tries to explain exactly what "mouse milk" actually is before explaining what Gulfpride Formula A Racing Oil is. It tells us what races it has won in its two years of testing and that it is now available at you local Gulf station at reasonable prices. |
