Full color 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" ad for their Tomato Juice. Pictured in the ad is a drawing of three hands holding up glasses of Stokley's Tomato Juice in, what the headline calls, "A toast...to Freedom". The text claims that this is one of the products that Uncle Sam has recommended as a nutritional food that will keep Americans "fighting fit". The ad talks about the Stokley plants working day and night to put up field rations for the soldiers in action which are more tasty and nutritious than the hardtack of days gone by.

Full color 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" ad that demonstrates how Stokely's is teaching all of us how to pack "A basketful of Ammunition". The ad starts off by saying "Here is your weapon, Mrs. America. Food, nutritional food - to keep your family sturdy and strong - ready to work hard and cheerfully so America can win!". Next they talk about "2 Vegetables, 2 Fruits Each Day" which refers just to the left where there is a filled basket of raw vegetables and packaged foods with the labels showing. It says that these are the best and you should have them. The next area talks about the minerals and vitamins which are necessary for you to have. They even say that you should have all of the liquids in each can of whatever you open. Lastly they say that you should use the recipes on the back of each Stokely can.

Van Camp 8

Full color 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" ad for their Chicken of the Sea and White Star Canned Tuna. The ad has a drawing of two fishing boats working to bring in fresh tuna for the consumer. The ad headline alerts us to "Tuna Ahead!". This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.

Van Camp 2

Full color 5" x 13 1/2" ad for a few of Stokely's Finest vegetables. At the top of the ad are three cans of Stokely's with the tops removed. It shows the Golden Corn, the Honey Pod Sugar Peas and the Small Size Green Lima Beans. Below these is a yellow banner saying that "The Best Cooks Use Stokely's Finest Foods" and there is a picture of a Mrs. Herbert P. Miner. The text says that "Mrs. Miner knows this help-yourself way of serving Stokely's Finest Vegetables is like saying help yourself to a "gardenfull" of prize flavors. Take your pick! If it's Honey Pod Peas, they're tender, sweet, vine-fresh, the finest grown...Stokely's Finest. If it's Small Green Lima Beans or Golden Whole Kernal Corn, they're blue-ribbon quality, picked and packed when flavor's perfect. Enjoy the finest...reach for Stokely's and get the finest". At the bottom of the page there are three bowls of these three foods prepared so that we can see just how good they look.

Stokely's 10

Full color 10" x 13" ad with a Special Garden Offer. The ad claims that if you send in 25 cents and one label from any Stokely or Van Camp product they would send you at least a dollar's worth of Imported Holland Tulip and Dutch Iris Bulbs. The ad goes into more detail as to what you will be sent and contains a coupon to fill out and include with your label and quarter.

Van Camp 7

Full color 9 1/4" x 13" ad for their Variety of Canned and Frozen Foods. The ad has a drawing of a smiling little boy eating a fresh peach. In front of his likeness are drawings of cans of Peaches, Bartlett Pears, Apricots, Pineapple, Anne Cherries, Fruit Cocktail and their Pork and Beans. Full color 7 3/4" x 10 3/4" ad for their Canned Peaches. Pictured is a can of this product next to two different ways to serve it. There is a bowl of peaches with vanilla ice cream scooped on top and a plate with whipped topping and a cherry piled on top. The ad headline calls it "2 quick-to-make desserts...more delicious with Stokely's Finest Peaches that come to you with fresh and fragrant flavor".

Van Camp 6

Full color 7" x 10 1/4" ad for their Whole Kernal Golden Corn. The ad has a picture of a plate of Pork Chops and Stokely's Corn, hot and ready to be eaten. The ad headline claims this is the "BestCooks way to delicious Quick Meals with Stokely's Finest Golden COrn". The ad text mentions that, for extra flavor, you can "bless your chops with Stokely's Finest Tomato Catsup - so good you'll pour it on". At the bottom of the ad is a line of the Stokely - Van Camp products such as beans, peaches, Chili Con Carne, tomato juice, kidney beans, fruit cocktail, spanish rice, green beans, sweet peas and Beanee Weenee.

Van Camp 4

Full color 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" ad for Stokely - Van Camp's Improved Pork and Beans. This ad starts off with the drawing of the Stokely - Van Camp little man next to the headline saying "Easy way to turn outdoor meals into Backyard Banquets!". Below this is a very tasty-looking photograph showing an outdoor meal with a big kettle full of Stokely - Van Camp's Pork and Beans surrounded by lettuce, a bottle of Stokely's Finest Tomato Catsup and Stokely's Finest Hanburger Dill Pickle Slices. The text says that you should "Serve the Pork and Beans with Savory Flavor! The best sauce means the best-tasting beans. The secret savory sauce in Van Camp's Pork & Beans is fuller, richer and seasoned with specially-good spices for wonderful savory flavor no other pork & beans can equal. Full color 9 1/2" x 13" ad for their cans of Pork and Beans. The ad has a picture of a picnic table in the backyard of a house. The barbecue is going with burgers just about done and the table is filled with a pitcher of orange juice, a jar of Stokely Cucumber Chips, a bottle of Stokely's Finest Tomato Catsup and a bowl full of Pork and Beans. The ad headline reminds us that "Backyard Banquets always include Van Camp's Pork and Beans" because they are "so delicious they make banquets out of ordinary cookouts". The ad claims that their product "Outsells the rest 'cause it tastes the best!"

Van Camp 3

Full color 10" x 13 1/2" ad for their Stokely - Van Camps Improved Pork and Beans. The ad has a picture of a mother knocking on the window to alert her husband who kneels watching their two young sons dig a hole in the backyard that dinner, or lunch, is ready. Behind her the table is filled with Stokely and Van Camps products with a large bowl of the Pork and Beans occupying the center of the picture. The ad also alerts us to their new product, Beanee Weenee's which does not seem to have survived the passage of years as well as Pork and Beans. Van Camp 5

Full color 10" x 13" ad that says that "Casual outdoor eating means Van Camps pork and beans". There is a picture of a father walking towards the camera hand in hand with his young daughter and son. They are wearing bathing suits and walking across the beach after playing in the ocean behind them. Awaiting them are plates of hot dogs, baked beans, tomatoes, lettuce and a salad beside them. The first line of the ad says that "There's something especially good about outdoor eating - and that something is Van Camp's Pork and Beans! Van Camp's are protein rich beans, pre-cooked in a Secret Savory Tomato Sauce". This is one of 150 foods, canned or frozen, by Stokely - Van Camp.
