Full color 5" x 12 1/2" ad that is for Mazola Salad Oil. The ad starts out by saying that you should "Vary the Color and Flavor of your Fruit Salad Dressing". It then goes on to say that "Delicate pastel shades and added flavor sound a new note in Fruit Salad Dressings! Try the recipe given here, using whichever fruit juice you prefer, and with any fruit salad! The cream cheese gives the dressing interesting texture. And of course wonderful, smooth Mazola blends all the ingredients together and contributes its own delicious taste. Any salad is made better with Mazola, and its perfect for sauteing, too - as for those Salad Dreams". Then it has the recipe for Pastel Fruit Dressing which looks very good and, at the bottom, it has an interesting recipe for Salad Dreams. |

Full color 9 3/4" x 13" ad that is for the new, improved Mazola Pure Corn Oil. The ad has a picture of a full bottle of this product with the cap off and two straws coming out of the top and the headline preparing to tell you "Why you child needs new, improved Mazola 100% Corn Oil". It then asks "What are the straws doing in the Mazola bottle? The straws are there to point out the importance of Corn Oil in the diets of young people as well as grown-ups. Many medical authorities say that it is prudent for everybody to balance the kind of fats they eat. The earlier in life this practice starts the better. Basically there are two kinds of fats. First, there are the (solid) animal fats which are high in saturates. Second, the (liquid) vegetable oil fats which are low in saturates and high in polyunsaturates. Of all leading brands of oil, new, improved Mazola 100% Corn Oil is highest in polyunsaturates. Every time you fry, bake or make salad dressings with new Mazola, or in any way use Mazola as a substitute for animal fats, you help to balance the fats in your child's diet. It's as simple as that". |
