Full color 9 3/4" x 12" ad for the Haagen-Dazs Brittle Bar. This is an interesting ad that has a very attractive young woman standing there holding up a picture frame without a picture in it. She is holding the frame with both hands and, in her right hand, she is holding one of their Brittle Bars with a bite taken out of it. The lady is holding the frame to her forehead and she is smiling, just short of laughing, as she looks square at the camera. The ad headline says that we should "Enter the State of Haagen-Dazs" and, in the lower right-hand corner, it says "The Artful Nuttiness of the Brittle Bar". |

Full color 9" x 11 1/2" ad for their Ice Cream Bars. There is a tempting picture of an ice cream bar held with the stick up and the chocolate covering mixed with nuts and other tasty condiments in the middle of the picture. There is a bite taken from the end of the bar so the vanilla ice cream that it protected by the chocolate is visible and can be seen and approved of. The headline consists of a series of statements that would be the mental conversation rolling through the head of me, or you. It starts with "It's your turn to have your dysfunctional family for dinner" and reasons "Have a Haagen Dazs". It then realizes "They can't make it" before coming up with the eventual answer "Have another". |
