Full color 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" ad for Derby Peter Pan Peanut Butter. The ad has a drawing of a Toni Lyon from Evanston, Illinois smiling as she enjoys a bite of Peanut Butter on bread. The ad headline says that "You can't fool kids about Peanut Butter! That's why Peter Pan is the children's choice!". The ad also has a copy of a letter written by Ms. Lyons that says "Dear Peter Pan, I like your Peanut Butter best of all because it tastes so good and fresh and never gets sticky. My Mom says Peter Pan Peanut Butter is good for me too. Toni Lyons P.S. I am nine years old". The word "fresh" in the letter has been circled and it points to the jar of the product and it says "The only leading Peanut Butter that's Vacuum Packed for freshness! No wonder Peter Pan stays fresher. It's the only leading brand that's vacuum-packed for sealed-in freshness! Try both kinds - smooth and crunchy".

Full color 9 1/2" x 13" ad for their Peter Pan Peanut Butter. The ad has a picture of a young boy (identified in the ad as William P Hobson of Kansas City, Mo but he looks like a young Peter Lorre) holding a piece of peanut butter spread bread that has a good-size bite out of it. There is a copy of a positive letter written by this young boy telling the company why this is his favorite brand of peanut butter. The ad headline warns manufacturers that "You can't fool kids about Peanut Butter!". The ad encourages everyone to listen to and watch Sky King. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
