- Chunder Down Under (Josj Evin and the Premium Boys head to the land of Oz, where when you flush the toilet, the water swirls in the oppposite direction. If that's not enough to confuse the best of us, I don't know what will. Unfortunately, I've got one more question weighing heavy on my mind: Anybody wee where my Men At Work album went?), Slam City Jam II (Another year, another Slam. Albeit this time it's in BC Place, a huge frickin football stadium no less. Fun is had by all, little kids keep asking for free shit and Scotty Macdonald continues his tredition of making a spectacle of himself. This time he tries to take his former stalking victim, Vanessa Torres, on a dream date that ends up in a nightmare. He also nags pros at an anti-social art-gallery showing, and insults most of the pro "core" skate photographers on the streetcourse by trying to take photos with a digital camera he found in the men's room.), Viva Hontreau (If you've never been to Montreal, You're dumb as a post. Hot spots, lovely ladies, cheap booze at the corner store, more strip clubs per capita than most of Western Europe, great nightclubs and poutine. It just doesn't get any better than that. Salty gravy, cheese and potatoes mixed together with a little bit of French love. C'est magnifique. Here's a little tour around the gem of Quebec. If this doesn't get you running out for a French-English dictionary, we don't know what will.), Unleash The Mercenary (How long has Eric Mercier been around? And how long has he been killing everything in his way? And why the (""k doesn't he have some big fat endorsement deals? Well, we don't know that. What we do know is that he's one of the most talented skateboarders to come out of this country in years. Part of what's great about Eric is that he's all about skateboarding for skateboarding's sake. Sure, he's probably a bit bummed he's not rolling in a pimped-out ride. But hey, his Safari van is still pretty hot and economical. Considering he recently became a dad for the second time, it's probably exactly what he wants. Something to carry the kids and boards in.) AM Profiles - Devin Morrison, Nathan Lacoste, Richard Sarrazin, Travis Stenger Departments - Off The Top, Going Postal, The Main Vein, Topical Cream, Upfront, Mix Tape: Colt Cannon, Best Contest Ever: Dustin Dollin, Blowin' Up The Spot: Ghetto Spot, Park Life: Vanderhoof, Product Placement, Scoach's Corner, Recognize, Photo Feature, Final Thought, Next Issue Distractions - Moneen, Thirstin Howl III, Kenny vs. Spenny, Earplug, Way-Back Wax / Celluloid Sanitarium, Cutting Room Floor, Manual Manipulation, Jacob's Guide

Features - Gareth Siehr - Cracked Tooth Vampirate (We doubt you'll find as colorful a character in skateboarding today as Gareth Stehr. This New Zealander had us in stitches with this interview. And without giving too much away, let's just say he talks about nailing his hand to a table, Josh Beagle shooting him in the face, vampirates and lesser-known creatures such as the Unicordian and the Abominable Snowmanjo), Zoo York - Eastern European Vacation (So what would you do after completely rebuilding your skate team? Go see Poland and Germany, right? Sounds good to us. And while it wasn't so much a vacation as a footage mission, the lads from Zoo couldn't help but enjoy themselves on this post-communist trek through Eastern Europe.), Killing Cairo - Popwar in New York City (A step-by-step instruction manual on how to drive Cairo Foster looney toons. Brian Gaberman documents the team's ups and downs in New York City like no one else can. A real recipe for disaster as traffic, heat, sweaty skaters, a pregnant wife, a fish-monger's gap, lame-ass locals and a massive pusher all blend together to create one very short fuse Contents - Intro (New editor Brian Peech is coming to terms with living in California), Viewfinder (Lee Smith gives us his view of growing up EMB), Howl (You won't believe what Peter Hewitt did this time. Well, maybe you will), Face Off (Lance Conklin and Bill Weiss go head to head in our new trivia feature. With these cats involved, you know its good), The List (Scarred for life, Skateboarders and), Question Authority (Kenny Reed, Jeremy Wray and Jerry Hsu answer your letters), Skate Anatomy (Charlie Thomas has some serious issues woth Boxing Day. Find out why), Squawk Box (What happens when Tony Hawk, Sean Penn and David Spade come together to raise money for skateparks? Find out here), Road Weary (Tim Gavin spent nearly four grand for him and his buddies to check out the last Phish show. Sounds easy enough, but wait till you read his story), Cohorts (Despite attempts to convince Ryan Bobier and Dan Murphy to roast each other, they came up with some pretty flattering words. Find out what these two San Diego homies have to say about each other), Focus (This month's best skateboard images from a slew of talented picture takers. Nice), Who's Hot (Ted De Gros, Angel Ramirez and Sid Melvin), 15 Things (15 things you didn't know about the law and your rights), Extra (Depending on your religious beliefs, this one's either really good or really bad. Either way, it's pretty unique)

Features - Ernie Torres (Big Ern gambles. He rages. He has a pentagram tattooed on his forearm. While he sounds like a beast on paper, in reality he's quiet and very polite. And in spite of his diminished stature, his skating is larger than life), Bi-polar (Gaberman's got it covered from all angles. Skateboarding is as much about its surroundings as it is about the physical act of rolling. And regardless of how many times we see a photograph of a well-documented spot, the view over photographer Brian Gaberman's shoulder can be just as intriguing), Daewon Song (Comparing skating to fast food joints. One of the most dedicated and gifted techniques skateboarding has ever seen, Daewon Song just keeps delivering. Fueled by his family, the fruits of his labor and a box of sugary pastries, don't expect Daewon to slow down any time soon) Departments - Intro (Headphones have diminished the camaraderie of the session), Howl (Ragdoll sees shapes, Nate Broussard revisits an old feeling), My Way (Keith Hufnagel's take on his topsy-turvey world), Cityscapes (San Francisco: good venues, shops, great eats and hills), Either Or (Kyle Leeper exercises his options in this page of multiple choice), Viewfinder (French Fred Mortagne travels and films with the best in the world), Squawk Box (Schaaf talks for 60 Seconds and Markovich has some good advice), Question Authority (McCrank has no need to relocate and Sumner waxes on and off), The List (We count 'em up and run 'em down, in case you keep score), Face Off (Tim O'Connor and Brad Staba go head-to-head), Skate Anatomy (Corey Duffel has the most f**ked up Skate Anatomy ever. Period), Road Weary (Jason Dill and A.V.E. go to jail in Hicktown, U.S.A.), Cohorts (Jim Greco and Steve Berra are quite an odd pair of pals), Who's Hot (Sean Malto, Josh Perkins and Justin Schulte are smokin'), Start To Finish (Cairo Foster leaves Real to start his own company), Trick Tips (Lipslides with Jon Allie), 15 Things (You don't know about owning a skateshop)
