They seem to be very quietly talking as the words "Salem refreshes your taste - "air-softens" every puff" seems to set the mood. "Take a puff...it's Springtime! when you light a Salem, you can almost imagine yourself in a scene like this, all golden sunlight and fresh new green, with the air so fresh. The lady feels secure enough to be climbing on top of the apparatus while the man is looking down at the wheels wondering if the lady is going to be on top of him soon. The man is smoking a Salem cigarette while the woman, in spite of her bravery, is reaching into his shirt to retrieve a Salem for herself. He had better be careful because, from what I remember from The Wizard of Oz, scarecrows don't like fire. There is a picture, that is bisected vertically by one of these cigarettes showing the "extra length", of a couple relaxing in a very green section of the woods. The text reminds you of "the famous taste that's springtime fresh" so that you will understand the importance of the extra moments at the end of a cigarette.
