Lipton
Full color 4 3/4" x 12 1/2" ad that is for Lipton Tea and it has Dorothy Lamour singing its praises. At the top it says "From Dainty Fay Davis to Dorothy Lamour" as it relates to the two of them. First, the ad says that "1901 - Dainty Fay Davis was one of Drury Lane's favorite actresses. Another favorite of London was the Irish yachtsman and tea merchant, Sir Thomas Lipton. Miss Davis had just created the famous role of Iris Bellamy. Sir Thomas's creation was a distinctive blend of tea from his own gardens in Ceylon - brisk Lipton's". Then, there is a picture of Ms. Lamour standing there, smiling, as she is holding a glass of Lipton Tea. About her is says "1947 - Dorothy Lamour is one of London's and New York's favorite today. She co-stars in Variety Girl, a Paramount Picture".

Tea 1

Lipton
Full color 9 1/2" x 13" ad shows the supposed effect that drinking Lipton Tea has on the average person. The picture in the ad shows a time-frame of a woman wearing a blue dress. In the first view she is holding a cup of Lipton Tea and is seen to be faded and barely in focus, in the second the cup is against her lips and her features seem to be brighter and clearer and in the third view she has completed her first sip of Lipton Tea and is seen in clear detail with vivid colors and a bright smile on her face. The ad headline assures us that "Everything brightens up with brisk Lipton Tea" and the text explains the details behind this amazing process. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
