Ancient Age
Three color 9 3/4" x 14" ad that is for Ancient Age Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This ad has a drawing of a man on a wagon being pulled by a very sedate white horse under the headline saying that you should "Enjoy the luxury of the "FLAVOR-YEARS" in the mellow ripeness of Ancient Age". It then says that "Whiskey comes of age to be bottled in bond at only four years old, a sort of official 'majority'. But beyond four, each year adds finer flavor-character - as more maturity brings richer mellowness...There is no substitute for time; no short-cut to the quality you get in Ancient Age. Patiently mellowed to give you the full taste advantage of extra 'Flavor-Years', the straight whiskies in Ancient Age are EIGHT YEARS OLD".

Antique
Black and white 10" x 13 3/4" ad for Antique Bourbon that, according to it's label, is "Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey" and "Distilled in the Slow Old Fashioned Way For and Bottled by Frankfort Distilling Co.". They have a slightly looking-up-at-the-label view of it that has the entire label in the picture. They have you thinking that "If you've never heard of Antique Bourbon, you're not alone" but we are here to educate everyone. The ad continues, "Few people have. But they're devoted to it. For them, Antique Bourbon recaptures the character of the great, pre-Prohibition bourbons. Robust and mellow. Without any bite. We make our sour mash the gentle, old-fashioned way. It's never heated over 212 degrees. So the flavor comes through without the slightest roughness. We could make more whiskey if we used higher temperatures to hurry things along. But then there'd be a danger of harshness. That's something you'll never find in Antique Bourbon. Our admirers regard it as the "real stuff". Sip a little. Chances are you'll find their enthusiasm contagious".

Antique
Black and white 9 3/4" x 13 1/2" ad that is for the Antique Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The ad has a picture of a bar with a nearly empty glass of whiskey, a shot glass full of another shot of Bourbon and a partially drunk bottle of Antique Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey next to the words, "We're not a wallflower any more". The text describes the facts by saying that ""Antique Bourbon" used to be a pretty uncommon order. Bartenders would ask, "Antique what?" Not any more. All of a sudden, we're a trend. Which both pleases and surprises us. You see, we were afraid the trend was towards blander whiskeys. And the flavor of Antique Bourbon is full of character. Our older admirers say we've recaptured the character of the great pre-Prohibition bourbons. (Which is precisely what we set out to do. Even to the extent of employing a pre-Prohibition yeast.) We hoped our business would grow, of course. But we didn't expect such instant popularity".
