Full color 9 3/4" x 13 1/2" ad that is for the New Nucoa - The Wholesome Vegetable Oleomargarine. In this ad there is a picture at the top of a Police Officer putting his arm around a little girl who is looking up at him with a great deal of compassion and the headline says there are "So many ways they must be guarded". Below this picture it then says that "With them in mind...We Created This Wholesome New Nucoa". It then says that "Your little ones...what a joy they are to you - yet what a problem. You must be so careful of their diet...make sure that it's always well-balanced. And yet you must keep within your food budget. Perhaps you have hesitated to economize by giving your children a margarine as a spread for bread. But once you have tried the new Nucoa, how completely every one of your doubts will vanish. For Nucoa is an utterly new kind of margarine...developed after years of research. A delicious, pure vegetable margarine, churned in fresh, pasteurized skim milk. It has been approved by Good Housekeeping Bureau, and accepted by the American Medical Association, Council on Foods". The text continues in this ad but it ends with the words, "The wholesome thrift spread for bread".

Nucoa 4

Full color 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" ad for their Vegetable Oleomargarine. There is a picture of a young boy sitting on a wooden hobbyhorse with his father behind him steading his motions as an older man bends over from the front and pats the boy's arm while the headline says "Apple of Your Eye". The text talks about the importance of nutrition for a young child and the value of using Nucoa as the "family's spread for bread". The claim is made that "it's calculated as baby's first formula" and that each pound of this product will supply never less than 15,000 U.S.P. units of precious, protective Vitamin A. There is also a recipe in this ad for Shortbread made from Nucoa.

Nucoa 2

Full color 10" x 13 1/2" ad that is advertising Nucoa Oleomargarine. This ad is filled with cartoon characters like at the top of the ad for advertising "For Going-Power". There are four different bicyclists going on, two little girls on foot scooters and one little boy running along while pulling a wagon. The ad claims that "Busy Bodies Should Have Energy-Rich foods to go on and to grow up. Eager little feet running toward tomorrow which is theirs. One important way a mother helps make that tomorrow rich and full is by helping her children build sound, firm bodies...with wholesome, appetizing foods. Nucoa Margarine> is just such a food...made from wholesome American farm products, enriched with Vitamin A". Then, in the second set of cartoons, we see the same group of people who were flying by on bicycles, sitting and eating hot dogs and other things. The headline says "For Fresh, Rich Flavor" and, it goes on by saying, "The 4 Star Spread for your daily bread. Yes, Mothers, Flavor-Lovers, Budget-Watchers...Nucoa is rich. It's nutritious. Nucoa is as fresh and delicious as spreads costing almost twice as much. Every pound is 4 Star Quality. Constant tests make this certain. No wonder Nucoa is America's favorite margarine. Today get 4 Star Quality Nucoa. Get it yellow, ready-to-serve. No more federal tax to pay". I don't really know what the "no more federal tax to pay" really means.

Nucoa 5

Full color 9 1/4" x 13" ad that is for Nucoa Oleomargarine. This ad states that it is "For Going-Power for Fresh, Rich Flavor...it's Nucoa". There are two drawings, the first shows a family of seven riding their bicycles in the country for a picnic. It says that "For Going Places and doing things, children should have Energy-Rich foods. The children who swim better, run faster, climb higher are often the ones who will go farther as men and women. For strong, straight bodies filled with energy, children should have good nourishing foods like whole milk, enriched bread...and Nucoa. Nucoa margarine is not only delicious, it is nutritionally valuable...rich in food energy and Vitamin A". The second picture shows the family enjoying a picnic at the beach. The text here says there is "No Tastier Spread At Any Price. Try Nucoa first as a spread for bread. What fresh, sweet richness! Then see how much flavor it adds to hot vegetables. And here's a thrifty cooking rule: Use Nucoa for all baking and frying...for tender cakes, flaky piecrust, crisp fried foods. Why don't you get a pound of America's largest-selling margarine right away?"
