Black and white 6" x 11" ad for their Fat. The headline claims that "You can't fool your stomach so cook with Crisco...the wholesome fat that digests quickly" and there are three pictures that tell a story. First we see a young mother yelling at her boy and his friend for making so much noise. The friend asks why the mother is so cross and her son said that she's got one of her stomach spells". Nest we see the mother looking over her husband's shoulder at a newspaper ad that talks about how quickly Crisco will digest and he, with a look of fear in his eye, asks her to try it. In the last picture she is busy cooking more fat-filled goodies and offering them to her son and his friend who is being told that "she's this way all the time now". The text talks about this "light, creamy wholesome fat that digests quickly" and gives a recipe for Chocolate Pinwheels.

Crisco 3

Full color 10" x 13 1/2" ad for Crisco for Cakes, Pastry & Frying. The ad headline states that "It's crisp! It's light! It's fried in Crisco", just under a very intense recipe for Fried Chicken Far East Style. The recipe is calling for Crisco to be used during the cooking and using it for the Sauce. This ad says "Yum! Here's fried chicken at its Sunday best - done up brown in Crisco! Every single piece is scrumptious - so crisp and tender and moist! And so easy to digest. Why not? Crisco itself is digestible! It's pure...it's all vegetable. Even doctors - 9 out of 10 of them - say foods fried in Crisco are easy to digest! That's worth knowing! Because all too often fried foods are heavy and indigestible. So keep on the safe side! Fry foods light and crisp in Crisco, and you can serve heaping helpings without a worry. They're sure to be digestible! That's another reason more women use Crisco than any other brand of shortening)".

Crisco 6

Full color 9 1/2" x 13" ad Crisco for cakes, pastry and frying. The ad has an example of Crisco's Brown-Sugar Loaf Cake sitting there along with the recipe for how to make it. It looks good but the recipe is kind of long to recreate here. The ad, half-way down, says that "It's llighter! It's richer! It's made with Crisco", something that you'll be saying. The text says that it's "Sure to be a family favorite, this meltingly moist and rich brown-sugar cake is party-perfect, too. And it's yours so easily - with Crisco. For blended into every spoonful of pure, all-vegetable Crisco is a cake-baking secret no other type of shortening has. And Crisco's Quick-Method cake recipe is built around that secret. Result? A lighter, richer, moister, more tender cake than with any other type of shortening or ordinary recipe! It's quick to mix - takes only 4 minutes! Easy, too. No eggs to beat, no creaming - and only one bowl needed. Yet with it every cake's a masterpiece - one you're proud to say is all your very own! Of course, Crisco makes any cake a better cake. Why, more women bake with Crisco than any other brand of shortening! But when you use Crisco and Crisco's Quick Method recipe you're sure of the best cake you ever baked".
