The ad has a drawing of the 2000 series Darter and mentions that it is sold in Seven Sizes for Fresh or Salt Water.

Black and white 9 1/2" x 13" ad for their New All Plastic Feather Lite Tackle Box. The ad has a picture of this work of art with the top opened up so the inside is visible for the world to see. The ad claims that "It Floats...It's Quiet...Won't Rust or Corrode" and it is priced at only $9.95. The right hand side of the ad explains why it is perfect for Salt Water Fishermen, Bass Fishermen and for Muskie Fishermen. The ad mentions that it's size is 16 1/4" x 5 3/4" x 7 1/4" and that it is made of Kralastic which, as we all know, is one of the toughest plastics known. There is also mention made of the fact this unit has a "Recessed Handle", a "Big Reel Pocket" and that it contains "Plenty of Room". The ad headline assures us that "fishing is catching with Heddon tackle" and there is a picture of a man holding up a string of fish to prove the point. The ad has a picture of their No. 1 Pal Spook Solid Glass rod ($25.00) and says that it came in 4, 4 1/2, 5 and 5 1/2-ft lengths. The mention is made of the fact that four other Pal Spook rods were available at prices ranging from $7.95 to $22.50. There is also a picture of the Pal reel which it says is a perfect match for their Pal Spook rod. The ad mentions three of these reels available; the P41 Standard for $13.75, the P41L Lightweight for $27.50 and the P41N Narrow Frame for $13.75. It has a closeup picture of one and it claims that "Its wiggle packs a wallop" while describing it as having a weight of 3/8 oz, a length of 3", coming in 12 colors for a price of $1.35. The ad shows three new spinning lures, namely the Tiny Runt, the Tiny Torpedo and the Tiny Lucky 13 which all come in 8 colors, weigh 1/5 oz each and had a price of $1.25 each. There is also a picture of a new lure for dropoff fishing, the Saint Spinner which came in 6 colors, weighed 1/2 oz and cost $1.25. In the letter he reassures his Dad and talks about fishing and tells his Dad where he keeps his oil in case his Mom wants to use his Marhoff. A note in the ad lets us know that no Marhoffs will be made until the war is over because the Shakespeare facilities are being used to produce precision plane controls. The ad refers to fishing as "A Dream Worth Fighting For".
