These are just a small portion of the ads that we have for sale. None of these are reproductions, all are original. Most of these are large ads, larger than our scanner bed. 1847 Rogers Bros.
Full color 7 3/4" x 10 3/4" ad for their Utility Tray Set. The headline begins the discussion by saying "In Behalf of the Bride" and follows with a letter to grooms-to-be about something to consider for their new wives to make their life as a homemaker easier. The text mentions some of the things that he will expect of her in the kitchen and talks about the 26 piece Utility Tray Set for $34 being a wise investment to make her task easier. The text also mentions other sets including The Anniversary, The Ancestral and The Ambassador. Shown at the bottom of the ad is a picture of a bride and groom looking at a set of silverplate and seeing their reflections in the serving dish.

Full color 10" x 14" ad for several sets of their Silverplate. There is a picture of a lady, identified only as a "young wife", wearing a floor-length orange gown and standing demurely next to her dining room table already set for company. Another picture shows a spoon from the sets Adoration, First Love, Eternally Yours and Remembrance and the text gives prices of $64.75 for a 52-p[iece service for eight, $94.75 for a 76-piece service for twelve and $117.50 for a 100-piece service for eight. All prices include a chest and the ad mentions tuning into The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. 1847 Rogers Bros.
Full color 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" ad that shows the Adoration, Eternally Yours, First Love and the Remembrance patterns. The ad has photos of newlyweds cutting the wedding cake. One photo is supposedly from an 1847 wedding and another from a 1950 wedding. The ad headline declares that "It's still the thing to do...It's still the thing to own" and talks about how this has been "a preference echoed for over 100 years".

The headline wonders "Is your 'teen-ager ashamed of your Silverware?" and suggests to those parents who may have only succeeded in heaping shame on their children for this one fault, to look at the Holmes & Edwards Collections of Silverplate. Shown in this ad are the Danish Princess pattern, the May Queen pattern, the Romance pattern which is New, the Spring Garden pattern and the Lovely Lady pattern. The text gives a sample price of a pattern in Silverplate and compares how much less it is than one in Sterling Silver and mentions the Club Plus terms you can get from your dealer to make the purchase price even better.
