Johns-Manville
Black and white 5" x 11 1/2" ad that is for the insulation that is like it is "From a Fiery Volcano - Cool Comfort in Sweltering Weather". There is nothing like comparing your product to the best thing possible. They advertise a Johns-Manville book Comfort That Pays For Itself as the whole fascinating story. This product is another in the "expanding blanket" kind and they do quite a bit of selling in the ad.

Kimsul
Black and white 5" x 11 1/2" ad ffor this product from the Kimberly Clark Corporation. It is claimed to be "Flexible. Fits any space", an "Expanding Blanket Insulation". The top photo show a woman wearing a fur coat looking at a roll of this product shown to her by a man in a suit. Their logic is that "When a new house settles, Kimsul will not pack down into the walls and create "transoms" through which heat can escape, nor will it pull away from the studs leaving uninsulated openings on the sides". There is a list of nine requirements listed that they want you to consider when you are buying.
