Mercury Cougar - Full color 10" x 13" ad shows a brown Cougar parked on a beach with the sun setting in the background. The headline says that "Mercury believes a man shouldn't have to buy $800 worth of ocean to get the European look. Meet Cougar". Shown in the ad are two pictures of the front headlight, one with the headlight covered and the other with the headlight, a picture of the rear light and a picture of the interior. This car, the Man's Car, has listed the items that are "standard" such as the headlight and the three-step tailight.

1967
Mercury Cougar - Full color 8" x 10 3/4" ad that shows a White Cougar and introduces it as "Mercury unleashes Cougar...untamed elegance". The pictures at the bottom of the ad show the headlight, the taillight and the woman that was seen behind the car at the top sitting in the passenger side of the interior. The ad claims that people have overguessed the price by $1,000. Boy have times changed.

Mercury Cougar XR-7 - Full color 9 1/2" x 12" ad has several photos of a Dark-green Cougar with a brown interior. There is a large photo with the camera aimed through the opened doors at a cougar sitting on the other side. The ad headline states that "Mercury announces a royal Cougar called the XR-7". This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.

Mercury Cougar XR-7 - Full color 10" x 12 1/2" ad that is very similar to the previous ad. The car shown in this ad is a White Mercury Cougar XR-7 with a black top that is parked in a western scene with a woman standing next to the car while a cougar is resting on the car's top. The headline says that "What other cars call "luxury extras" is everyday standard equipment with us". There are smaller photos that show white bucket seats in the car, a view of the instrument panel from the driver's seat, a view of the gear shifter and one of the tachometer. The ad claims that "In Mercury Cougar XR-7 we don't relegate the finer things in life to the option list. Our standard front hi-back bucket seats have rich, natural grain leather seating surfaces. Also standard is the sweep of instrumentation set into a fascia that glistens with the look of cherry woodgrain. The instrument cluster includes a tachometer, trip odometer, ammeter, oil guage and toggle switches for courtesy lights, map light and accessories". It goes on talking about the performance standards and other options
